Purple Silk Shirt

Paul Tazewell wore this Ozwald Boateng silk shirt on the night he won the BAFTA Award for Best Costume Design for Wicked, at the British Academy Film Awards on February 16, 2025, at the Royal Festival Hall in London. A vibrant purple silk shirt from the British-Ghanaian tailor — the first Black tailor to open a house on Savile Row, in 1995, and one of the most influential voices in contemporary British menswear. Cut with the high-sheen finish and considered tailoring Boateng has built across three decades on the Row, worn beneath the Viggo purple velvet tuxedo jacket for a deliberate tonal layering of two shades of purple anchored by a black shawl lapels.
